In 1994, EEC International Korea was founded to meet the rapidly growing demand for English language learning materials throughout Korea and Asia. In that same year, the U.S. branch of EEC International was opened in Los Angeles, California, to support EEC International Korea's product development efforts.

With its staff of experienced ESL/ELD specialists and publishing professionals, the U.S. branch of EEC International immediately developed a reputation as a provider of high-quality English language instruction products. The company also began to provide professional development training to teachers and administrators in the Los Angeles Unified School District and at Yoon's English Academy in Korea.

Many of EEC International’s products are developed to support the educational programs of Yoon’s English Academy (known in Korea as Yoon Seon Sang Young-o Kyo Shil ), a renowned Korean publishing house in the field of English language learning. Yoon’s English Academy was established in 1980 and operates 350 branches throughout Korea.
